Description
Impeccably maintained corner duplex penthouse with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the ground floor, there is a beautiful open-plan living area with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a spacious separate kitchen. The owner has owned the apartment since it was built and has integrated the covered terrace into the living room, flooding it with natural light. The first floor features a pergola, converted into a guest house with a large bedroom, a bathroom, and a small kitchen, along with a spacious west-facing terrace. This terrace offers excellent privacy thanks to its corner location and the absence of neighbors, except for the communal rooftop terrace, which can be used for drying clothes. The apartment also includes an underground parking space and a storage room. The complex also features a communal swimming pool. Alicante Airport is about 30 minutes away. Guardamar del Segura is located on the southern Costa Blanca of Alicante, at the confluence of the Segura River and the Mediterranean Sea.
This welcoming tourist town has everything you need for a comfortable stay thanks to its splendid climate and eight wide sandy beaches, four of which have been awarded the Blue Flag for their high quality and impeccable services. The sun shines here 320 days a year, and the average sea temperature in August is 27 degrees Celsius, while in the cooler months it averages around 20 degrees.
The town is peaceful and very green, surrounded by numerous citrus groves, coniferous forests, parks, and sand dunes.
The abundance of pine and eucalyptus forests, the lack of industrial activity, and the proximity of the salt flats of La Mata and Torrevieja make the air in Guardamar a truly restorative experience.
The town’s history is preserved in the ruins of Guardamar Castle. In the 13th century, it served as a fortress protecting its inhabitants from Muslim attacks and was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake in the 19th century.
Antiquities enthusiasts will also love the ruins of the ancient Phoenician port of La Fonteta and the excavations of the Iberian settlement and necropolis of Cabezo Lucero, where, in 1987, a stone bust of an Iberian lady was found, dressed in clothing similar to the Lady of Elche, dating back to 450-350 BC. The Lady of Guardamar is considered one of the city’s symbols and is housed in the Archaeological Museum of Alicante.
Also of interest is the House-Museum of the Engineer Francisco Mira, who saved the city from the advance of the dunes by planting thousands of pine, eucalyptus, cypress, and palm trees. These plantations, covering an area of 800 hectares, form the Alfonso XIII Park. In the city center is another park, Reina Sofía Park. Peacocks roam here, and you can feed the squirrels. Ducks and turtles live in the ponds. There’s a children’s playground and rides.
At the mouth of the Segura River is a marina where outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy sailing, surfing, diving, and sport fishing.
In summer, tourists from all over the world come here. Foreigners make up 40% of the population. The city’s infrastructure meets all the needs of its residents. The construction sector is booming, and the demand for housing in this area is high. Purchase and rental prices are rising, making Guardamar a promising destination for investment.
